enechain appointed Yuki Yabuuchi as Chief Financial Officer, previously the director & CFO of Paidy Inc.

enechain Corporation (“enechain,” HQ: Tokyo, CEO: Ryo Nozawa, hereinafter called the “company”), a Tokyo-based energy start-up, announced that the company appointed Mr. Yuki Yabuuchi as Chief Financial Officer on August 1, 2022.

【Background of appointment】

With the mission of "Building energy markets coloring your life", enechain is a startup aiming for a world where any user can freely transact energy products such as electricity and LNG in an online marketplace (eSquare) with a single click.

After raising a total of 1.6 billion yen in Series A funding announced in January of this year, the company has been considering inviting the CXO class in order to accelerate business expansion.

The company decided to welcome Mr. Yuki Yabuuchi, who led the buyout of 300 billion Yen by PayPal in the United States as director & CFO of Paidy Inc., and appointed him as CFO of enechain effective August 1, 2022 (he will assume the position of director by a resolution at the general meeting of shareholders to be held at the end of August, 2022).

As Chief Financial Officer of the company, he will play a leading role in further business expansion by strengthening the financial base and management structure in enechain.

Joined Paidy Inc. in 2018, where he led the building of billion dollar balance sheet by debt and equity finances as director & CFO and the buyout processes to join the PayPal Group in 2021.
