    eSquare Live

eSquare Live is an online marketplace that enables power generators, retailers, and traders immediately and automatically complete power wholesale transactions for both physical and futures once their orders match. It has evolved dramatically from eSquare by enabling market players to do “immediate = live” trading.

In recent years, as liquidity in the wholesale electricity market has grown significantly and trading speeds have accelerated, many market participants have been increasing their demand for a platform that enables automated trade execution.

We will further develop its functions including API to integrate with third-party systems such as risk management systems (ETRM) and to obtain real-time transaction data as well as mobile access in the near future.

“eSquare Live for JEPX,” which specializes in trading on the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX)'s Day-Ahead Market and Intraday Market, is also available.

    eScan

eScan is a web application that diagnoses and quantitatively evaluates the risks of power portfolios of power generators and electricity retailers based on the most advanced financial engineering theories established in Europe and the United States, where electricity deregulation took place more than 15 years before Japan.

Considering the regulations and business practices unique to the Japanese power industry, the application supports the management of various risks associated with power generation and retailing businesses. This includes marketprice spikes that can lead to losses in purchasing and sales, or conversely, declining demand that can lead to unnecessary inventory.

The name “eScan” is derived from the combination of the word “e” for energy and the word “Scan” used in the medical world, with the hope that portfolios should be properly diagnosed and correctly prescribed.

eBalance is a SaaS platform that brings together everything needed for electricity supply-demand management. From demand forecasting and generation forecasting to the creation and submission of supply-demand plans and the design, execution, and review of bidding strategies, it consolidates daily operations into a single screen-streamlining work that tends to rely on individual expertise and enabling accurate, data-driven decisions.

Backed by responsiveness to regulatory changes and integration with the enechain ecosystem, it provides seamless support from forward contracts through to real-time delivery. The name combines the "e" of energy with "Balance," reflecting its role in keeping electricity supply and demand optimally balanced. (Launching Fall 2026)

  • Image of eCompass

eCompass is an application that visualises and provides worldwide energy supply and demand information and market prices, in an easy-to-analyse format in a timely manner. Power generators and electricity retailers can use eCompass to gain a comprehensive understanding of the information they need to conduct transactions, as information on supply, demand and market conditions is centralised in one application.

The mobile apps allow users to collect energy related information from around the world in a timely manner and make trading decisions day or night.

We named it eCompass, connecting the words “e” for energy and “Compass” in the hope that it will become a compass for energy transactions.

    eClear

eClear is a service designed to mitigate counterparty risk in wholesale electric power transactions on enechain's eSquare platform, Japan's largest electric power hedging marketplace. Developed in-house by the enechain Group, this service leverages credit insurance and other methods to safeguard against credit issues and potential domino effects among energy providers. By doing so, eClear significantly enhances the overall stability and reliability of the electric power market.

In a strategic move to bolster its position, eClear announced in August 2024 that it had secured a 49% equity investment from MUFG Bank, one of Japan's leading financial institutions.
