enechain received a final approval to open “Dai-Isshu Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu” and “Dai-Nishu Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu” from Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry

On November 15th, enechain received a final approval to open “Dai-Isshu Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu” and “Dai-Nishu Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu” from Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

As results, enechain is now eligible to broker derivative transactions such as swap or option transactions for commodities such as electricity, LNG, and Crude Oil. This is the first case that a brokerage firm obtained the license of exhaustively dealing commodity-related derivatives.

About Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu
Tokutei Shohin Sijyou Ruiji Shisetsu (called Ruiji-Shisetsu) is an exchange-like marketplace in which companies who professionally trade physical commodities (called Togyosha) or financial institutions can trade commodity-related derivative transactions (Individual speculators are NOT eligible for trade on Ruiji-Shisetsu).

Commodities subject to derivative transactions
Dai-Isshu (Non-listed commodities): Naphtha, Heavy Oil, City-gas, LNG, LPG, Coal
Dai-Nishu (Listed commodities): Electricity, Crude Oil, Gasoline, Kerosene, Light Oil

Qualification for participants
Among Togyosha or financial institutions, those who entered into a brokerage agreement with enechain are eligible to trade on Ruiji-Shisetsu.
