Ryo Nozawa
Representative Director, Founder and CEO
Ryo Nozawa is the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of enechain. Nozawa founded enechain in 2019 with a mission to build a robust energy market that was in need after the power deregulation in Japan in 2016. Nozawa started his career at Kansai Electric Power, one of the energy giants in the market, and worked in physical LNG trading and led the launch of the company's Power Asset Optimization and Trading Desk. He also has experience as a power trader for the US PJM and ERCOT at a US commodity trading company. Before launching enechain, Nozawa was Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group Japan where he led various projects for the energy industry and was awarded MVP (Professional Excellence Award).
Nozawa received an MBA from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania, and has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
